Add the final touch to your event with a buffet table. Whether hosting a formal dinner or keeping it casual with friends, dress the table up for the occasion. Place a runner down the center, then set hurricane candle holders on top. Fill each holder with pinecones, pebbles or potpourri to enhance the ambiance. Working with a smaller sideboard? Forego the decor in favor of food. Set the main entrees and side dishes on top in serving plates and bowls, and encourage guests to line up along the kitchen island for flatware, drinkware and napkins before making their way to the buffet table in the dining area. Storage cabinets on the bottom provide additional room for extra plates, bowls and carafes. When the dinner party is done, use the buffet table as a decorative piece with framed photos and faux florals placed on top.
