Originating in a remote village in northern Luzon, the largest island in the Philippines, hapao is a traditional pattern used for bags and baskets. Over time, the colors used and shapes formed changed, though always emphasizing the durability and beauty of the amazing fiber. This appealingly neutral natural finish emphasizes the texture and intricacy of the weave.
